Recovery Ministry
The Park Plaza recover/accountablity ministry focuses primarily on hurting and the struggling sinners. All men in the group are open and talk of themselves not about others. This group is a completly anoyomous and men of all walks of life are invited to share what's on their hearts. The men's recovery group meets on Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the upstairs room behind the baptistry. We usually park in back and go through the back door by the fellowship center. This a place for men who want to unload their burdens of life to another group of men. This anoymous group of men meet and go through the "12 steps of a closer walk with God" book. Every man that comes to the group has a accountability partner to meet with during the week to disucss their issues in their life. Men, real men, confess and talk about their struggles with pornography, sex, lust, anger, control, alcohol, drugs, gambling, co-dependency, eating, etc. Being real about your life to others allows you to begin healing internally. Pride, keeps alot of men from getting help for themselves. This group is focused on you, the individual, not others. If you are wanting to become part of something where you can be accountable for your actions during your life, then you should be part of this "Band of Brothers". Men of all ages from 18 and up come for recovery of their life. This book is a Christ-centered, God-focused book that will lead you through the steps of recovery through your struggles and addiction. You cannot beat your addiction by yourself! God tells us to be accountable to one another and to confess our sins and struggles to another Christian brother.
