This ministry focuses primarily on monthly devotional and communion service for residents at the Lakewood Center. For a number of years, Park Plaza has been assigned 4:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month and the fifth Sunday of months with five Sundays. Services normally consist of singing a number of the residents' favorite hymns, prayer, a short Bible lesson and communion. From time to time, children's classes or the youth group prepare a special program or lead the service. Any interested person should feel welcome to attend the service or participate by leading prayer, songs, a devotional or serving communion. You can also help by simply spending a little time visiting with the residents or joining in the service and letting them know that we appreciate their smile and Christ-like example.
