The Park Plaza Deaf Ministry is blessed! People like Roy and Tsianina (Ginger) Kinney (who have been with us from the start), Lewis Perry, and other Deaf individuals have caused our ministry to grow! Now we have Carl Moore, Minister and Counselor for the deaf. Watch us grow even more.
Our deaf are a joy to know and easy to communicate with even if you don't know any signs.
The deaf are currently meeting in our Fellowship Center. They have a Bible class at 9:45 AM followed by worship at 11:15 AM
When the need arises we have interpreters for ladies classes, workshops, and special events. Recently the deaf were very involved with our all church retreat "Crossing Paths."
We are always looking for more people who would like to learn to sign and Clem Witt and Brenda Rumsey offer fun sign language classes several times a year for those interested. They are currently offering one on Wednesday night at 7 PM.
There is a place for everyone to serve as the Deaf's biggest joy comes from knowing there are others that care enough to give them a smile or a hug- something we can all do.
