Africa Missions consists of the support and ministry activities for Malvin & Hazel Kivedo in Cape Town, South Africa and O’Brien & Marie Malindi in Tshidimbini, South Africa (Venda region) along with the support of Bibles For Africa Program, Dehydrated Food Soup Mix Projects working in conjunction with the Marvin Phillips Ministries and support for George Funk with the Gospel Chariot ministry . We also work with the Park Plaza singles group
in the Adopt-a-School project which is a bible distribution program to secondary schools in the Venda region of South Africa. All of these programs have been made available through Park Plaza’s Sowing for Eternity funds. The planting of house churches in Cape Town and the planting of churches in the Venda region to reach the lost and train up new leadership is the goal of this team. South Africa has a population of over 47 million people, with 3.2 million living in the Cape Town area alone with unemployment estimated at 40% and 63%in the Venda region. Poverty and AIDS are two large problems that face South Africans with a life expectancy of only 42.5 years. The time for saving the lost and helping in their struggles is now.
Africa Missions Team:
This team is made up of Park Plaza members who have a passion for the people of Africa. Most of the team members have been to Africa at least once, some 2 or more times and one at least 23 times. Reaching out to the poor and helpless and spreading the word of God to Africa is a desire each of the team members has in their hearts and each is willing to do whatever it takes to see that this is accomplished.
